Swine Flu Updates and Resources

What is it?

The WHO has changed the name of the swine flu to influenza A(H1N1). Follow these precautions in any instance of the flu:
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water. Keep hands away from nose, mouth, and eyes.
  • Cover mouth when sneezing or coughing, and place used tissues in a covered container.
  • Drink plenty of fluids, get enough sleep, eat the colors of the rainbow, and minimize stress. Take probiotics, vtiamin C, EPA/DHA, and vitmain E to boost immunity.

When to seek emergency help

  • Difficulty breathing, chest or abdominal pain
  • Bluish tint or extreme irritability in young children
  • Not retaining or drinking enough fluids
  • Unresponsive behavior or confusion
  • Severe vomiting
  • Re-occurrence of symptoms with fever or fever with a rash
  • Sudden onset of dizziness
